However, the supply of Bincho charcoal made in Japan today is limitated due to its demand. Therefore, the retail price of Bincho charcoal is getting higher.

Murayoshi Charcoal Studio/Atelier's Bincho charcoal is processed in Fujian province of China under the technical supervision of Japanese Bincho charcoal artisans. We export directly from there and use the same raw lumber, Ubamegashi - an evergreen oak, used for Kishu Bincho charcoal. Consequently the quality of our Bincho charcoal easily stands up against the higher priced Kishu Bincho charcoal.
